Terms & Conditions

Current Clients: We generally sell to repeat customers and knowledgable collectors. Sales made are based on past relationships and we of course already have a mutual trust and understanding. We will always prefer buyers to come and see the article to be sure they are happy in person and would encourage potential customers to view before purchase if at all possible.

We sell the vast majority of objects on a one-to-one basis at fairs in the UK. These items are antique and character marks can be seen due to the age. Items are purchased as seen on the photographs. Whilst I make every endeavour to point out if there is any serious damage, restorations, etc. if you have any questions please contact me via e-mail before purchase.

IMPORTANT! Internet Purchases: All objects are pre-owned and are sold on an 'as is' second hand basis. I reserve the right to refuse to post any items offering a personal collection at an agreed venue being an alternative suggestion. If you are in any doubt, don't purchase based on photographs and arrange to see the objects at a fair. I will not post on a deposit. The full payment is required in advance.

If you cancel your purchase after payment but BEFORE IT'S POSTED a full refund will be issued excluding a 10% administration fee. Once signed for (as undamaged) and delivered, I do not issue refunds.

In the event of a damaged delivery see insurance paragraph below.

Terms of sale:

WATCHES

By the very nature of what we sell, please do not expect items to be in new condition. The majority of our watches are antiques and will have signs of wear and tear. The photographs and description are untouched and we try to include hairlines to the dials, small dents and inscriptions, but cannot include every detail so they are sold on an 'as is' second hand basis.

Please note that all of our watches are "ticking", however we make no claims as to their timekeeping ability, nor can we offer any guarantees.

All antique watches have history. It is possible cases or movements may have been replaced, very likely, serviced or repaired, or had additions applied by previous owners over their lifetime and this is not acceptable as a reason for a refund.

SILVER AND COLLECTABLES

These are old and antique in many cases so may on occasion have some age related wear. Obvious things will be pointed out in the description, should there be any repairs or small imperfections and we will endeavour to illustrate these in the photographs too, but cannot include every detail so they are sold on an 'as is' second hand basis.

JEWELLERY

The selection of jewellery is both antique, and "vintage" or in the style of. We can test for gold and diamonds and will state stones where we are sure or have had expert advice. Some of the less expensive pieces will have a lesser description on the stones if we are not sure, for example a clear stone that is not diamond if we unsure we will list it as just a clear stone, it may be a white sapphire, a CZ, spinel or paste, but we will leave that to you the buyer to decide. All are pre owned.

DELIVERIES: Our deliveries are usually in person at an agreed venue. If you require delivery, the goods are insured to your door (please see the notes below on insurance). We will not send out uninsured unless you specifically state in writing and accept it is entirely at your own risk. We reserve the right to refuse to ship any items outside of the UK.

INSURANCE: The insurance will be as suggested by the Carrier or Royal Mail and will be at your cost. It remains the responsibility of the buyer to check the parcel and contents for any signs of damage before accepting delivery and act accordingly. The insurance will only be for the period before you sign for the goods. Please do not sign for goods as undamaged unless you are happy as we have no recourse beyond this. If using your own courier please ensure you have adequate insurance as I cannot be held responsible for any damage caused when it leaves my premises.
